 The Interactive Demonstration has been designed to take advantage of the enhanced scripting features of Internet Explorer 4 or above and is only accessible using Internet Explorer 4 or later.

Please also note that to use myAccounts facility you will need Internet Explorer 5 or above.
 
 
Login Page
This is the egoli My Accounts Login page from which you can:-

Once you have signed up - which can be anonymous and takes less than a minute - you then enter your relevant account details to access your online accounts quickly, securely and privately. All your account details are encrypted and stored on YOUR PC. This information CAN NOT be viewed by us at egoli My Accounts or by any other third party.

To log on to egoli My Accounts, enter your My Accounts username and password - both are chosen by you when you sign up.
 
My Summary Page
  • The My Summary page displays information of accounts that you have chosen. Balances and available funds are shown for bank accounts and credit card accounts. Your aggregated account data is not sent to and does not pass through Egoli or any other third party site. For reward/frequent flyer programs the number of points is shown and for email accounts the number of new messages are shown.
  • Even institutions such as St George and Telstra that use Java and/or PKI digital certificates can be accessed through My Accounts.
  • When you log in, the data from your last update will be displayed. To update the data, either click the here link to update all of the institutions with ticks next to them, or tick the checkbox next to a single institution to immediately update the selected institution.
  • The name of the institution can be customised to a name of your choice.
  • The checkbox next to each institution determines whether or not the particular institutions data is updated when the here link is clicked.
  • If you check the checkbox, the institution will be updated immediately. If the institution is in the process of updating, unchecking the checkbox will stop the update.
  • The date and time of the last update will be displayed here.
  • Status is displayed at all times indicating the progress of the data update. If you wish to see behind the scenes as to what is happening, you may click on the status message to see the automated processes as it happens.
  • You can click on the name of the institution to automatically log you into the institution so that you can do any transactions you require, without you having to manually enter your user id and password to the institution.
 
My Profile Institution Selection Page
  • The My Profile page is used to create the list of accounts you wish to access through egoli My Accounts.
  • Simply select the institution you wish to use by selecting it from the list on the left and click the add button. Repeat this for all the institutions you require. If you have multiple linked accounts at one institution, for example 4 bank accounts all linked to a single login and password, you need only select that institution once to enable egoli My Accounts to get all the data from all the linked accounts.
  • You can however also select the same institution multiple times if, for example, you have multiple Hotmail accounts each with a different username and password.
  • You can arrange the order in which the institutions are presented on your summary page by selecting an institution in the list on the right and clicking on the up or down arrow to move the selected institution's position.
  • Once you have selected your institutions, you are required to click on the Step 2 button to enter the login details of the chosen institutions.
 
My Profile Login Details Page
  • In step 2, you enter your account information including username and password for each institution. All information is encrypted and stored on YOUR PC. This information is NEVER provided to egoli My Accounts or any other third party.
  • Any institution specific information is displayed next to the institution.
  • For sites such as Telstra you are required to have a digital certificate installed on your machine. (This will be supplied by Telstra when you set up your Telstra online account.) For these institutions you will need to choose the relevant certificate from the list.
  • If you have an account with an institution but have not yet enabled it as an online account, this link will take you straight to the page on the institution's site which contains the relevant information on how to enable your account.
  • Once you have entered your userid and password, you can test your login by clicking on the Test login link. This will launch a browser and you can watch the process as it logs you in and out of the institution to confirm you have entered the correct details.
  • egoli My Accounts can be optimised to maximise the speed of your internet connection. If you have a slow connection eg if you have a 28 800 modem or slower, select the leftmost toggle. For a cable modem, ADSL or faster connections, select the right most toggle. Nominating the speed of your internet connection will result in faster data retrieval and presentation for all connection speeds.
  • You can customise the name of the institution to any meaningful name.
  • Once you have entered all your details, click the Save and Finish button. Your details will then be encrypted and stored on YOUR PC.
  • If you wish to remove all your details from your PC click on the Remove Profile button.
 
My Details Page
  • The My Details page contains the information required when registering with egoli My Accounts. You choose your username and password so we have no idea who you are. We need to ask you a security question in case you forget your password to eWise. Your email address is required so that we can email you to notify you of important My Accounts messages.
  • If you choose to be anonymous you can sign up with an anonymous email provider such as Hotmail and use that email address.
